Q:What can I expect during my first visit to Durlacher Dental Care?
During your initial visit , our friendly team will conduct a comprehensive examination including radiographs and photos in order to discuss your oral health goals. We ask you please arrive 10 minutes early for your first visit to complete a new patient medical questionnaire.
Q:What do I need to bring to my appointment?
If you have had any recent dental radiographs taken and have a copy of them please bring these to your appointment. Alternatively, if you have the details of the clinic where your radiographs were taken we can arrange a release of records form to get these sent across to us. If you wear a denture, retainer, splint or sleep appliance please bring it with you to your appointment.
Q: Do you accept private health insurance?
We accept all health funds and can process your claim on the day through our HICAPS terminal. Please ensure you bring your health insurance card or have a digital copy of your card with you for claiming. Please note a digital copy of your card is one saved to your “wallet” on your phone, not a photo of your insurance card.
Q: Do you offer the Child Dental Benefit Scheme and can you see if my child is eligible?
Yes we do! To check your child’s eligibility we will require their full name, date of birth and Medicare number including their individual reference number.
Q: Can I bring my children to Durlacher Dental Care?
Absolutely! We welcome patients of all ages, including children. Our team is skilled in providing gentle and child-friendly dental care.
Q: What if I have dental anxiety or fear of the dentist?
We understand dental anxiety is common, and our compassionate team will go above and beyond to ensure your comfort. We offer sedation options and a calming environment to help you relax during your visit.
Q: Do you offer emergency appointments?
We have limited emergency appointments set aside each day. If you are experiencing a dental emergency we advise calling our clinic first thing at 8am to secure an on the day emergency appointment.
Q: What if I have a dental emergency outside of office hours?
If you are experiencing a dental emergency outside of our office hours you can call and leave a message or send us an email and we will contact you once we are back in the office. Alternatively if it can’t wait until business hours, attend the Geraldton Regional Hospital for immediate attention.
Q:Do you offer cosmetic dentistry services?
Yes, we provide a range of cosmetic dentistry services, including teeth whitening, clear aligners and dental veneers.
Q: Are dental procedures painful?
Our experienced team prioritizes patient comfort. We utilize modern techniques and anaesthesia to ensure minimal discomfort during treatments.
